Born in Lalitpur, Nepal, Ramita has worked in the Felt industry for more than 15 years. Supporting us with her deep knowledge and experience in this field, she has taken her role as the ‘factory in-charge’ at FTP to ascertain that our customers receive the highest quality products and our most reliable services.
She shares that she entered this industry as a passionate learner, seeking a job to sustain her livelihood wherein she got referred into this field. She initially started as an artisan producing a range of felt products through a method called ‘pressing’ then further diversified her skills into various other felting techniques.
As one of FTP’s core members, she has been a part of FTP’s journey since our start and has been committed to sharing her skills and experience with fresh and upcoming artisans of this industry. According to her testimony working with FTP, her goal is to distrbute her own skills to women struggling with disadvantaged lives and various social pressures. Her journey as a struggling artisan to becoming a stable job provider for women of diverse backgrounds is an inspiration to us all and represents our company’s core principle to cultivate stability and safety for people of diverse experiences.
Anju Tamang
Pressing
Belonging to a small village in the Nuwakot district of Nepal, Anju has five members in her family. She was recommended to us as a fresh artisan seeking a stable job and a secure working environment by her elder sister and her brother in law, that had been part of the FTP family previously.
Anju started working in the felt industry as a young and energetic woman with a commitment to sustain an independent livelihood and supporting her own family. She has now been part of the FTP family as a significant member of our production team for more than one and half years. Under the guidance and training of our experienced artisans, Anju has specialized in pressing a range of felt products with the most premium quality.
At FTP, she is currently also training her skills in diverse production roles related to stitching and packaging. According to her testimony, she has experienced a positive shift in her personal capabilities and character in the warm and loving workspace that our team has provided for her. With her authentic and dependable character, she testifies to our companies unwavering commitment towards shared growth.
Anu Tamang
Needling
With a sincere drive for personal growth, Anu undertook a long journey towards FTP from a rural village located in the dhading district of Nepal. She has eight members in her family and dreams of supporting them by utilizing her skills in a reliable working enviroment. She has been in this industry for more than three years and has been with us for the past one and half years holding an important role in our production team. She started in this industry specializing in needlework related felt products, and is receiving guidance and instructions in diversifying her skills in other production roles like stitching.
As per her experience, she shares that she feel at home at working in our safe and stable workplace alongside several women of diverse backgrounds. She is grateful to receive warm and intimate treatment from our experienced production instructors and team leaders that uphold our value of being an Imperfectly Perfect Family. As a reliable member of the FTP family under difficult circumstances, she is a symbol of diligence and trust, that our company aspires to project to all our customers.
Anisha Tamang
Pressing / Cutting
Also from a village located in the Dhading district, Anisha comes with a story similar to another valuable team member mentioned above. Anu and Anisha are sisters, and they both joined FTP in search of a healthy working environment with a dream to support their family and building an independent and sustainable life for themselves.
Anisha has been working in this industry for the past three and a half years, and has spent more than two years as a strong member of our production team. Her skills at the onset of her journey with FTP was in producing a range of felt products by pressing. Recently, in the guidance of our experienced trainers has also been diversifying her production skills into other artwork methods like cutting and needling.
Having an keen eye for aesthetics and the capability to produce high quality products, Anisha evokes our commitment to sharing eye catching and elegant felt products to our customers. Her aptitude in her crafts represents FTP’s core value of offering creativity, originality and novelty with our every product.
